Its a Matter of Life and Death

Published by David Paletta

According to an article published in the Washington Post, 10,002 people died in fiscal year 2017 while waiting on a disability judge's decision.  One of those individuals was my client Joseph Tyson.

If 10,002 had been killed in terrorist attacks, our government would declare war on somebody and spend billions of dollars on defense.

In Washington, Congress is debating whether corporations and wealthy Americans should be given billions of dollars in tax cuts, and the Senate has proposed the elimination of subsidies that lower the cost of health insurance to individuals with pre-existing conditions.

On an individual level, I find my neighbors and fellow Americans to be compassionate people.  I do not understand why this compassion does not extend to those who have lost their health and become disabled?

We are all going to lose our health.  It seems to be in our self interest to help each other.
